A few things to consider when getting your Driveway Laid

There are a lot of things to consider when you're thinking of getting your concrete driveway laid. It requires a little bit of planning and forethought but it's a relatively straightforward process for you once it's started. The first thing you should remember is that it's very reliant on the weather. If it starts raining half way through the project we usually have to wait until the sand we've laid under the driveway dries before we can continue. This can be a bit of an inconvenience, but it's the only way to guarantee a perfect and safe driveway every time.

As a result of this weather dependency, you should note that the busiest time of the year for us is often during the summer months. It's, then, advisable for you to try to phone and book us in advance, just to be sure that you'll be able to get your driveway done when you want it.

Something else you should consider is that the process of laying your driveway can be quite noisy. There's a lot of specialist equipment used throughout the laying process, from the cement mixer for laying the foundation, to the hydraulic brick cutter and even the hand chisels used. And once your driveway is laid we have to go over it with a hydraulic plate vibrator to tamp down the whole area.

We do our best not to be too much of an inconvenience and we'll be sure to clean up after ourselves, but while we're there, there are just some things we have to do which can be quite noisy and you have to give us a little leeway with that.

Another thing you could consider is that while driveways are being laid you're obviously not going to be able to use it to store your car, so you're probably going to have to find an alternative area to park your car in, just until we are done with your driveway.
