Transformation
On Wednesday, in the afternoon,
Along came Steve, and a digger,
And my fairly average garden
Soon appeared to be much bigger
Loads of digging a bit of trouble
Garden turned into heaps of rubble.
On Thursday morning the digging went on,
And the traffic was something alarming,
Lorry driver and Steve kept it flowing along,
With help both polite and charming,
Amazingly soon the skip was shipped,
The lorry was gone, the base layer tipped.
The concrete arrived, along with two lads,
Whose names were Joe and Andy,
And they levelled and layed,
And they patterned and stamped
How would feet become so handy?
At a quarter to ten they finished it all
And made their leave over the wall.
Now everyones gone, and the works all done,
And im left with my new creation.
And I have to say, that in every way
Its lived up to my expectation.
Thanks to all concerned, in whatever way,
Who knows, I might order some more one day!
